Bulgaria — Zichron Yaacov, 1944-1945
Letter originally written in Bulgaria
dated 22.12.1944, mailed in Haifa on
3.2.1945, and addressed to Zichron Yaacov.
The letter was written in the Bulgarian
language and brought to Palestine by an
illegal immigrant, arriving on board the
ship “Taurus” (sailed in December 1944 from
Constantza in Rumania carrying 958 Jewish
refugees). The addressee was not found and
the letter was redirected to the “Bulgarian
Immigrants Association” in Tel Aviv.
