Peres Blancs, Saint-Anne, Jerusalem - In 1856, after the Crimean War, the Ottomans give the basilica to France. In 1877, the White Fathers were given control by the French Church. The early Fathers arrived in 1878. In 1882, an apostolic school was founded. In 1886 a seminary for future priests of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church was established. During the years more than 100 picture postcards of the Holy places in Jerusalem and some archeological findings were published by the Saint Anne church.
