R. Grossmann - “Hotel Tiberias” was one of the first hotels in Tiberias. The hotel was built very close to the Sea of Galilee. It was founded by Richard Grossmann in 1896. The Grossmanns were a religious Christian family and came to the Holy Land from Germany. They ran the hotel in a very German style. There is no doubt that they were quite successful and even added the "Lido Beach" nearby. The hotel was a kind of unique because it had warm water. Postcards were sold in the hotel's store, generally the Hotel postcards and views of the Christian Galilee, almost 40 postcards were published by R. Grossmann and were printed in Germany.
