Latrun Detention Camp — Tel Aviv, 1946
The leaders of the Yishuv and the Jewish
Agency were arrested by the British on “Black
Saturday” (29.6.1946) and were detained in the
Latrun Detention Camp.
Letter sent from Latrun Detention Camp on
7.7.1946,
by Moshe Shertok (who would later
become the first Foreign Minister and the
second Prime Minister of Israel) to Ada
Golomb in Tel Aviv.
